Living practice protocol

Structured inner work using established therapeutic frameworks — self-help level; seek licensed therapy for trauma or crisis.

Time: 20–30 minutes

Steps (do them in order)

  1. Sit with journal; name one recurring trigger from the past week (situation, not person-as-enemy).
  2. Shadow prompt: ‘What trait in others irritates me here?’ Write how that trait might exist in me at 10% intensity — non-judgmental.
  3. Thought record (CBT): Situation → Automatic thought → Evidence for/against → Balanced thought → New feeling (0–10).
  4. Parts dialogue (optional): ‘Part that feels X, what are you protecting?’ Write the part’s answer in its voice; thank it.
  5. Identify one boundary or self-care action for 72 hours based on the balanced thought.
  6. If distress exceeds 7/10 or trauma surfaces, pause and contact a licensed mental health professional.

Sources & lineage

Jungian shadow work (C.G. Jung, Robert A. Johnson’s Inner Work); Cognitive Behavioral Therapy thought records (Beck); Internal Family Systems-inspired parts dialogue (Richard Schwartz, published model).

Safety & ethics

Educational self-practice only — not medical, legal, or crisis care. Stop if you feel unsafe or highly distressed. Seek licensed professionals for trauma, mental-health emergencies, or health conditions. Do not use divination to control others.

This Editorial Policy describes how AfterDark Intuition creates content for people and for the quality standards used by search engines and advertising programs such as Google AdSense.

Site purpose

We publish educational and reflective material about spiritual symbolism and personal practice. Content is for learning and journaling. It is not a substitute for medical, mental-health, legal, or financial advice.

Content standards

  • Lead with definitions, then interpretation ranges, then practical reflection prompts.
  • Reject guaranteed outcomes, curse framing, and “miracle wealth/health” claims.
  • Write unique introductions; reduce near-duplicate pages when we find them.
  • Interactive tools must include substantial prose: how to use, what results mean, and what they do not mean.
  • Update seasonal or calendar-based pages when dates change.
  • Prefer helpful depth over keyword stuffing.

Sourcing

We use widely taught Western esoteric frameworks (for example Rider–Waite–Smith tarot language, modern angel-number culture, lunar practice) and plain-language psychology where it helps understanding. We do not claim exclusive secret authority.

Corrections

Send the page URL and a short description of the error via Contact. Material factual errors are fixed as capacity allows.

Advertising and affiliates

The site may show ads (including Google AdSense when approved) and occasional affiliate links. Advertisers do not write our spiritual interpretations. Details: Advertising Disclosure.

Review cadence

We periodically review thin pages, broken links, and outdated claims. Quality is an ongoing process, not a one-time publish.
